SPOTTED: Actress Juliette Lewis shopping for makeup at The Mac Store after an interview with Extra‘s Mario Lopez about her new NBC series, The Firm.
Lewis looked fantastic with red hair and her amazingly toned legs. Color me jealous.
When a reporter asked Juliette how it feels to have dated so many Hollywood A-listers, Lewis was quick to reply, “Oh c’mon, there was only that one!”
And by “that one,” Lewis means the incredible Brad Pitt to whom she was engaged while they were both struggling actors.
Lewis’ new show is based on the John Grisham book and hit Tom Cruise movie. She co-stars with Josh Lucas as Mitch McDeere, playing the part originated in the film by Holly Hunter.
Lewis told Extra: “It picks up where the movie left off. They are all in witness protection for 10 years and then they get out.”
Why would Lewis who has been a phenomenal force on the big screen for more than three decades return to the small screen more than 20 years after her last TV gig? She told ETonline that “timing as well as the project itself were the biggest factors” for her return. She elaborated, “I never wanted to do a series. The last one I did was in 1989.” She continued that The Firm“came my way and it’s got the John Grisham brand on it — we hope to bring any portion of that kind of thriller to TV.” About the pilot she says “the script read pretty riveting. I also love the role of Tammy. I love what Holly Hunter [who played Tammy in the film] did; I feel like she’s a distant cousin to me in the acting family tree – that’s the metaphor I like to go with.”
