Why is it that whenever a celebrity is at top of his or her game, some idiot out there claims to have a sex tape starting the celeb?
Adele is the latest star to fall prey to this crime. The singer who just won six Grammy Awards is now fighting what she claims are fake stills from a supposed sex tape she made with an ex-boyfriend.
Adele is suing French tabloid Public after it published the fake photos. The cover of this tabloid rag which came out today reads, “Exclusif! Adele La sex tape!” with a screenshot of a woman they claim is Adele but who looks nothing like our sweetheart crooner.
Adele has hired a powerhouse team of lawyers to fight back. In a statement to MailOnline, one of her lawyers said:
“We are informed that the French magazine ‘Public’ has today published images which it claims show our client in a sex tape. Our client has not appeared in a sex tape as claimed in the article. Our client does not appear in the photographs. Such claims are untrue and grossly defamatory. Our client is taking legal action in relation to this matter.”
