The Amazing Race aired a brand new episode tonight March 11, 2012. The episode, ‘Taste Your Salami’ had our eight remaining teams departing from the pit stop at Escalinata in Paraguay and heading to the next leg of a race in Italy. If you missed the episode you can read the recap here.

The seven teams on the first plane arrive in Italy. Dave and Rachel get into a verbal fight and Dave calls her a “wise ass.” For the Roadblock, the teams must choose between a fast forward of landing a helicopter or rappel 120 feet from the Lingotto building.

Bopper and Mark finally arrive in Italy.  Rachel and Dave keep arguing. The teams of Nary and Jane and Vanessa and Ralph are the next ones to finish and headed to the museum. Kerri and Stacy finish next.

Rachel R. and Brendon get into a huge argument when he was trying to park the car. Rachel kept yelling. They finish first anyways and Rachel keeps yelling at him and threatening the marriage.  They still manage to find the clue first which is a penny with Mole Antonelliana– a major landmark in the city. They have to find it. They keep fighting. She says let’s quit cause a million dollars is not worth the fight. She then tells Brandon, crying, that she came on the show to take a trip around the world with her best friend.

Art and JJ land their helicopter in the Fast Forward and move on to the Pit Stop. Vanessa and Ralph figure out that they have to go to Mole Antonelliana. Joey and Danny arrive first at the Mole Antonelliane and find out it’s a Detour and that they must choose between “clean that statue” or “name that salami”.

On the detour, Rachel continues her melt down and says The Amazing Race is supposed to be fun but instead is Big Brother all over again. As we cut to commercial, Brendon says, “we’re done” as if the pair are about to quit The Amazing Race. After the commercial, Rachel asks Brendon to stop saying that they quit. And Brendon says, “you called me your best friend, right?” And when Rachel agrees, he says, best friends make up when they fight, so, the two made up and continued.
