86-year old Dick Van Dyke has married his 40-year old makeup artist, Arlene Silver.
The actor told RumorFix that he met his future wife six years ago at the SAG Awards. “I was in the green room and she passed through and I was bowled over by her beauty.”
The two got married February 29 and Van Dyke described the wedding as “Kinda on the spur of the moment.” They picked that day because they “decided Leap Day would be the best time to do it.”
Why get married at this age? Van Dyke explained that he is not a loner and needs a life partner. Arlene described her husband as “the happiest person I ever met. He’s got an infectious spirit.”Van Dyke was previously married to Margerie Willett. The two had four children and divorced in 1984.
