Watched the show again this am. Not sure who will go home. Jessica is still my fav….nobody does interpretation, phrasing, and control better than Jess! Josh…what is the fascination by the judges? He’s great, but 2 standing O’s?? Don’t think so. Skylar….wonderful, but I hate CW music and especially the nasal twang that goes with it. Phil…yeah, “you make the young girls cry,” but if you win, you will go the way of David, and Kris and Lee. I think it’s anybody’s guess who will go home…..WHO will it be? But, great show, Nigel!
Everyone who is latino or hispanic wants Jessica, if you have any knowledge of music, she is boring, too young, too mousey, to soft-spoken , NOT AMERICAN IDOL material, maybe when she gets older, more polished and more assertive, we don’t need another boring Whitney or Mariah wannabe!!!! GEES!!!!!! America wants talented and show stopping, and entertaining, she can sing, but thats it, give it up, she’d be gone already if it wasn’t for the judges misused SAVE !!!!!!
I just don’t see what EVERYONE likes about SKYLAR. Don’t get me wrong – I like country “music”…Carrie Underwood is AMAZING – but Skylar??? She’s is REALLY nasally and screams far too much. There is a difference between a “powerful voice” and screaming. The judges are HORRIFIC this year. I am not seeing the “worthiness” of all Joshua’s standing ovations – all his songs sound the same to me. He’s another one that that takes the screaming thing waaaaay too far!!! And then you have Hollie who in my humble opinion is AMAZING for her age. Is she perfect? No – but she is FAR BETTER than Skylar, Jessica and Joshua. But you would never know it IF YOU LISTEN TO THE JUDGES!!! I have DVR and I often go back and re-listen to the show – Personally I think Phillip Phillips is the BEST ARTIST/SINGER on the show, Hollie is the closest runner up, Elise would be next in my opinion, then Jessica, then Joshua – and I have to say Skylar is my least favorite of all. Just my opinion.

You guys all talk no done. Talk is cheap..why can’t you guys respect what majority voters decided who they want to be the next american idol? All 6 contestants are good and anyone can be crowned as AI.
Agree! Any one can be the winner. Their fate lies on the voters. Win or lose, they all have record contract deals and it’s in the name of the game who will be successful on selling their records in the future. So, please stop defending your bet or try to criticize other contestants. I would say, 6 months to 1 year from now, you’ll forget them all and here comes another new batch of AI hopefuls auditions. I’m surprised that both Elise and Holly lasted this long but I think
Elise is the better of the two. She can sing and do amazing things with her voice. Holly is just finding herself and feeling her songs and it may be too late in the game.
I was surprised that Elise went home tonight, I really thought it would be Holly.
I predict that if Holly, Joshua or Jessica win we will never hear anything from them but one or two singles. They will just fade away after that. They are all fantastic but they don’t have the style that is popular right now.
Skylar might have some success, mainly because country is a very popular genre, but she’ll never be Carrie Underwood because of image.
Phil Phillips doesn’t care about winning, he cares about exposure. He has found his niche and will find success.
Elise would have been the most successful, overall, had she won. Luckily, you don’t have to win (and suffer the horrific contract) in order to get signed by someone better and more reputable. You just have to be SEEN!
They are all fantastic this year though and really deserve to be there.
P.S. Colton sux. What an arrogant little twat. His ego blew up like his plastic girlfriend throughout the course of the show. C-ya!
