Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger were not good enough for Simon Cowell because it looks like he had his eyes on a much more commercially-attractive target when he fired the duo from the U.S. version of The X Factor last year.
“Both camps were going back and forth on the money but now they have finally come to agreement on the fee,” an insider tells the mag.
“All they need to do now is work out the smaller points. The fact the money is now set, means that there is nothing stopping this from becoming a reality.”
Another source says that Britney’s fiance, Jason Trawick, will become a producer on the show. That explains why Trawick just petitioned the court to become co-conservator of Brit’s legal affairs.
“Jason is expected to be there every day Britney is on set. He is her rock and will help guide her through the process. He is the person she trusts the most.”
If the deal is finalized, Spears will become the highest paid judge on reality TV, overshadowing Jennifer Lopez’s $12 million for American Idol Season 11.
