Dancing With the Stars aired its third elimination results show tonight, April 10, 2012. Which couples were in jeopardy and which couple went home tonight?
The highest scoring couple last night was Donald Driver & Peta Murgatroyd who got a 27. Roshon Fegan & Chelsie Hightower and Maria Menounos & Derek Hough followed with a total score of 26 each. Katherine Jenkins & Mark Ballas who almost got a perfect score last week fell to 24 points this week. Gavin DeGraw & Karina Smirnoff placed fifth a score of 23.
Melissa Gilbert & Maksim Chmerkovskiy, William Levy & Cheryl Burke and Jaleel White & Kym Johnson all got a 22 and could be in danger of going home along with Sherri & Val who got the lowest score of 21. Will they be the couple who will be sent home tonight?
The news is that a new rule will be implemented beginning tonight where the bottom two couples will do a dance-off for another chance to stay in the competition. The judges will then decide which couple will be safe and who will be eliminated. Do you like this new rule that takes the voting out of the hands of the fans?
Gotan Project and KISS are the musical guests for tonight .
Also of note: Melissa Gilbert was rushed to the hospital before the show ended last night after hitting her head on the ballroom floor. You can read about that here and get her update.
Which couples do you think will be in the bottom two tonight?

Watch Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower’s interview and response on Roshon being called the best male dancer on the show by Carrie Ann Inaba:’
Roshon shouldn’t be in the bottom two he was good
I guess is between Roshon and Sherry..you know it wont be william in bottom two
Voting counts
Gladys was in the bottom two for two weeks now yet she’s safe but somehow Roshon is 2nd place and is in the bottom two ????????
Don’t like new rule..what is purpose of voting ..If it was initiatived 1st elimination – not on third show. Why vote?
Was very nice seeing Lacey Schwimmer this evening. My tv missed her!! Fine maybe I did too!!
Sad to see Sherri go. Her speech at the end was very motivating. Anyone who is lucky enough to get on the show is very brave. Ballroom dancing is tough and to do it in front of millions of people takes guts. Kudos to all of the stars … may the best DANCER win — not the most popular.
