SPOTTED: LeAnn Rimes singing the National Anthem at the 38th Annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, CA April 14, 2012. Of course, LeAnn was pulling in double duty this weekend. Right after her song, she cheered husband Eddie Cibrian on as he competed in the 36th Annual Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race held at the same event.
Wearing a silk plunging wraparound blouse, hooped earrings, aviator sunglasses and ponytail, LeAnn compared her look to that of Kelly McGillis in the Tom Cruise movie Top Gun.
Adam Carolla ended up winning Pro/Celebrity Race but it was Eddie which wowed the crowed when his race car slammed into a wall then bounced back and hit fellow racer Brody Jenner’s car, rendering Jenner’s car inoperable. “Well, Eddie didn’t win, but @brodyjenner and he left a lasting impression on the race & everyone!!!!”LeAnn tweeted.
Cibrian said of the crash: “Carnage happened. My car was lucky, but I was driving with my steering wheel sideways. It did a 180!”
Jenner blamed the whole incident on Cibrian. “[The crash] wasn’t my fault right?!” Jenner said. “I had a good time while I was out there. I was picking my time, Eddie kept blocking me. I finally had a better run on the straightaway, so I went for it.” Jenner added, “But he wasn’t braking! I broke, and made the turn, he didn’t. He hit the wall, bounced off the wall and hit me. I’m gonna kick his a–…no he’s big I don’t want to kick his a–. That’s racing though! I’m just bummed I didn’t get to win! ‘Cause I think if I woulda kept off that wall, I maybe woulda had a chance. Oh well, next year.”
