Adam Levineis never one to hold back his words or express how he feels. Not even when it comes to admitting he used to be promiscuous.
The Maroon 5 front man and The Voice coach covers the latest issue of Details magazine, being declared the “new king of pop.” Here is what the 33-year old had to share with the mag:
On his personality:
“I’m fiercely independent, but I’m also terrified of being alone. I travel in a pack. I like to be surrounded, not just with my boys, but with family, too.”
On the start of Maroon5:
“Everybody wanted to be the Strokes, and I wanted to sound like Michael Jackson and write pop songs. Maroon 5 may not be groundbreaking—we’re not fucking Arcade Fire—but we did sh!t that other bands weren’t really getting down with.”
On the ladies:
“There’s two kinds of men. There are men who are f**king misogynist pigs, and then there are men who just really love women, who think they’re the most amazing people in the world. And that’s me. Maybe the reason I was promiscuous, and wanted to sleep with a lot of them, is that I love them so much.”On fame:
“I love attention. I can’t stand not having it. It just has to be the right kind. To do what you love, to be with the people you love? That’s all I want. That’s the ‘kwan.’
