The Avengers kicked ass yet again at the weekend (May 18-20) box office! Can any film stop them from their supreme reign?

The superhero flick brought in another $55.1, making it the top-grossing movie for the third week in a row. In the U.S. alone, the movie has now grossed $457.1 million. Globally, we’re talking $1.18 billion, making it the number four movie of all time–and it has no intention of slowing down either.

Battleship with Alexander Skarsgard and Rihanna took the number two spot with $25.3 million; The Dictator starring Sacha Barron Cohen came in at number three with $17.4 million; Johnny Depp’s Dark Shadows and JLo’s What to Expect When You’re Expecting came in at 4th and 5th, grossing $12.8 million and $10.5 million, respectively.
