Just when things were looking up for Lindsay Lohan, she got in a bad car accident with an 18-wheeler Friday on Pacific Coast Highway–an accident which completely totaled her Porsche .

Lindsay was off from filming her new movie Liz & Dick when the accident took place.

The only good news is that Lindsay was not taken to the hospital in an ambulance — which may mean she is not too hurt. Witnesses do say that Lindsay (who was driving) and her assistant were bleeding and bruised.  They’re both at the hospital now being tested. We will keep you posted on her condition.

UPDATE: TMZ reports that Lindsay has been released from the hospital after having been taken to Santa Monica UCLA hospital as a precaution. She had no serious injuries and neither did her assistant. Lindsay is already back to work on the set of Liz & Dick.
