I can’t say that I can relate—when it comes to a dating situation anyway. I need to know someone a little bit before I go out on a date with him–no blind dates here. So, I would never even be attracted to someone who would make me feel intellectually inadequate. And I certainly would not do that to anyone. 

But generally speaking, I know plenty of people who like to show off their knowledge base, whether or not the things they show off about are even important to know.It’s really uncomfortable not be on the same intellectual level as others and that’s why TBBT works!  Because we like to watch the awkwardness happen to other people and not us.
