Jessica Sanchez, seen here with Idol boyfriend DeAndre Brackensick, debuted her new single Fairytale at the iHeartRadio American Idol tour stop in New York City Wednesday night.

But that wasn’t the big news of the night…last season’s American Idol runner-up also announced that she has a brand new record deal with Interscope Records.

Before she performed her new single, Sanchez said this song gives a taste of what her new album will sound like. She also recently had told Zap2It:

“What I did on the show was more competition mode. It was to show my vocals — ‘let’s sing some Celine Dion and Mariah Carey.’ Now it’s like, ‘I’m Jessica Sanchez and I have to do me.'” She explained, “It’s more of the urban, Rihanna kind of feel and the R&B kind of stuff. A little bit of pop. It’s just a big mixture of stuff, so it’s exciting.”
