Let’s get this straight. I always thought Gabby Douglas looked cute despite some haters out there who criticized her hair of all things during the Olympics.

But it was Gabby who got the last laugh. First, the spunky 16-year-old rocked the Olympics by becoming the first African-American female to win the All-Around gymnastics gold.

Then, Gabby’s people took over and made an appointment for the gold medalist with a celebrity hairstylist in Hollywood, Ted Gibson, who’s worked with such Hollywood A-listers as Angelina Jolie, Ashley Greene and Anne Hathaway.

And the result is another gold masterpiece!

Gibson returned the love. “It’s 3am, just left Ted Gibson NYC. Love you [Gabrielle Douglas]. What an amazing young lady you are. #award winner #gibsongirlsruletheworld.” He also told The Daily Beast: “You have this young girl doing amazing things, and the conversation becomes about her hair? It was ridiculous and shameful.”

Yes, shameful it was then..but it’s all good now..Gabby’s got the gold and the fab hair.
