President Barack Obama may have approved his latest campaign ad featuring Big Bird, but the powers to be on “Sesame Street” sure didn’t. In fact, The Sesame Workshop, the group which runs Sesame Street, has asked the president to pull down the ad with Big Bird at its center.

The ad which you can watch below makes fun of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney who vowed during the first Presidential Debate to end the federal subsidy to PBS. 

The Sesame Workshop released this statement in response to the ad:

Sesame Workshop is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns. We have approved no campaign ads, and as is our general practice, have requested that the ad be taken down.
