It’s official! Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian will be co-hosts of this season’s “The X-Factor,” FOX announced on Tuesday. Their duties will officially begin when the live shows start in November.

“The worst kept secret in Hollywood is out,” said X Factor creator and judge Simon Cowell. “Mario and Khloé are our hosts. They will debut on our first live show in November and I couldn’t be happier.”

Lopez is excited too: “I’m very excited to be joining ‘The X Factor’ team. I love the show, and I’ve been a big fan of Simon Cowell and the judges for a long time. Khloé and I have been friends for years and I know we’ll be a great team and have a blast.”

Khloe is beside herself happy as well. She wrote on her website: “Hi loves. I’m sure you’ve been hearing the rumors and I’m SO excited that I can finally confirm the news — I am joining The X Factor as co-host with Mario Lopez!!!!” She added elsewhere, “I’m so thrilled to become a part of ‘The X Factor’ family. I’ve been a big fan of the show and look forward to working with Simon and all of the judges. It’s going to be so much fun!”

Kardashian and Lopez are replacing Steve Jones, who hosted the show last season before getting the boot.
