Dancing With The Stars pro Derek Hough is still healing from a serious injury resulting in an inflamed bulge in his vertebrae and neck. The question on all of Derek’s fans’ minds is: Will Derek be able to dance Monday night? Only Hough himself knows for sure but has not yet given a conclusive answer as to when he will return to DWTS to dance with partner Shawn Johnson again. 

Last night, Derek tweeted, “Got my MRI’s back for my neck. I see the specialist tomorrow morning and hopefully will be back in the game soon. Thanks for all the support.” He later added, “The doc asked if I’ve been in numerous car accidents. Comforting. Just dancing.”

If Derek cannot perform tonight, his BFF Mark Ballas will take over Derek’s dancing duties. Mark who has written about long days of rehearsal with Shawn this week also had to Tweet yesterday in response to fan reaction asking for Derek’s return: “Everyone settle down. We all just want Derek to get better and be healthy. And in the mean time I’m here to help out my brother.” Ballas has also been working with some Utah dancers (pictured here) who will be performing a number Monday night.
