Dancing with the Stars aired its finale performance episode tonight November 26, 2012.  Click here for a full show recap of and performance of DWTS. Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough decided to take a huge gamble once again and break all of DWTS rules such as breaking hold in a Quickstep and doing lifts (not allowed other than in Freestyle routines). 

Shawn and Derek danced their Quickstep routine tonight as a repeat of their favorite routine from the season. This dance has been a fan favorite but has landed them in trouble with the judges. SHAWN AND DEREK FAVORITE DANCE: Danced their Quickstep for which they got in a lot of trouble earlier in the season (WATCH THEIR ORIGINAL PERFORMANCE HERE!).

Here is what the judges told Shawn and Derek tonight about their Quickstep: Len Goodman: “There was more body contact when you were in hold this time. You are not allowed to do lifts which you did or break hold which you did. You leave me no where to go.” Bruno Tonioli: “All season you have been pushing the boundaries and taking risks. What you have achieved is truly sensational. We are bound by the rules, but it takes nothing away from your achievement.” Carrie Ann Inaba: “What can I say it is a fan favorite and it is a fantastic routine but I am sad that you did not follow the rules because at this point, the scores do matter. It is the same I saw before I hope the risk pays off!”
