The X Factor USA will air its first live results show of the season tonight, November 1, 2012. It’s up to Simon Cowell, LA Reid, Demi Lovato and Britney Spears on who stays and who gets eliminated tonight.

WHO ADVANCES ON THE X FACTOR TONIGHT?
THE YOUNG ADULTS/DEMI LOVATO’S TEAM:
-Jennel Garcia advances automatically
-Paige Thomas advances automatically
-CeCe Frey and Willie Jones have to sing for their survival tonight to see who stays and who gets eliminated
-CeCe sings “Out Here On My Own”and LA Reid told her she just saved herself. I agree. Britney told her last night, CeCe had an identity crisis trying to be like Ke$ha, but tonight, she sounded strong. Simon said he does not understand why she did not do that last night and said she looked like a clown last night with all that makeup.
-Willie Jones sings “You Don’t Know Me” and LA Reid said Willie is really unique and that was good. You’re making Demi’s decision tough. Britney said Willie sticks out. Simon wishes he was mentoring Willie so he could capture the magic he brought to the auditions.
-DEMI DECIDED TO KEEP CECE AND ELIMINATED WILLIE JONES.

THE OVER 25/LA REID’S TEAM
-Vino Alan advances automatically
-Tate Stevens advances automatically
-David Correy and Jason Brock have to sing for their lives to see who stays and who is eliminated
-David Correy sings a toned-down stripped Kelly Clarkson’s “Since You’ve Been Gone” and kills it. WOW! LOVED IT! Britney said tonight you blew us away. You were amazing. Demi: I did not like the rendition of that song, it felt like you were screaming. Simon said it was a good choice of song but said the version was too melodramatic. “I can see how much this means to you though.”
-Jason Brock sings Whitney Houston’s “One Moment In Time” – A MUCH BETTER song choice than last night’s mess. He does a good job, but there are some pitch issues. Britney: Today, you turned me into a real fan. Demi: There is something really genuine about you behind your eyes. You’re very likeable. Simon: Here is my slight problem, and I don’t want to be rude, but you’re asking me to judge two horses coming in last, and you want me to pick a winner between two people who won’t win this competition. But much better than last night. LA tells Simon he was very very mean.
-LA PICKS who he called Mr. Entertainment: Jason Brock. DAVID CORREY IS ELIMINATED.

THE TEENS/BRITNEY SPEARS’ TEAM
-Beatrice Miller advances automatically
-Carly Rose Sonenclar advances automatically
-Diamond White and Arin Ray have to sing for their lives to see who stays and who is eliminated.
-Arin Ray sings Whitney Houston’s “I Look to You”. LA says I don’t even understand why you have to sing to stay. I am a huge fan and it would be a shame for you to go home. Demi: I think the girls in the audience are screaming for you. It would be a shame to see you go. Simon: That was a different league than last night and shows your potential. For you to leave the competition now would be a huge mistake.
-Diamond White sings Elton John’s “Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word”. Brits’s gonna have a hard time choosing. Diamond was great. LA said she is a sensational vocalist. You have a real future in this business Demi you’re always bubbly but tonight I saw the soul and the fire and you should be proud of this performance. Simon, I don’t wanna be in Britney’s position. When Arin sang, I thought he should go through. But the last 20 seconds, I thought you should go through. It’s not right that either of you should go tonight. I AGREE!!!
-BRITNEY SAVES ARIN RAY. DIAMOND WHITE IS ELIMINATED.

THE GROUPS/SIMON COWELL’S TEAM
-Emblem3 advances automatically – not much of a surprise since Simon LOVED them last night
-Lyric145 advances automatically
-Sister C and 1432 have to sing for their lives to see who stays and who is eliminated
-Sister C sings LA Reid liked their song choice and hopes they stick around because there is a gap for them in the marketplace. Britney said they have the eye of the tiger. Demi said their voices always sound phenomenal. It would be a mistake to see them leave the competition.
-1432 sings Demi Lovato’s Skyscraper. Demi said, I don’t know who that song is by, regardless, you did better than the original singer. SIMON ELIMINATES SISTER C. HE KEEPS 1432 and asks us to change their name.

WHO IS ELIMINATED OFF OF X FACTOR TONIGHT?

Willie Jones. WOW–as if it weren’t bad enough to eliminate Willie, Demi told him basically that this is not his time right now, and to go and figure out what it is he needs to do, but she believes in him.
