This is how Fifth Harmony did in the semi-finals:

First song:”Anything Can Happen” by Ellie Goulding
Judges’ comments:LA said it was the very best vocal performance they’ve ever done. He found it to be a “really inventive vocal” but didn’t care for the production. Britney loved everything about it and said they inspired girl power. Demi thought everything about it was cute and said it felt really great. She said they pulled out the sparkle that they needed. Simon said that even though they came in last place last week, anything can happen after a performance like that.

Second song: Impossible by Shontelle
Judges’ comments: LA said it was a lazy song choice and thought they could have brought something better to the stage. He does not think the performance was good enough. Britney said it was a good performance but a bit stiff. She would be surprised if they made it to the finals. Demi expressed concern for their fate as well and did not like that they added Spanish lyrics–she thought it was too much. Simon defended his song choice, saying that the performance reminded him of why people loved the girls in the first place.
