Judges’ comments: Christina: “What makes that song work is the soul and the passion. It was a hair under a lot but you made a great effort”. Cee Lo: “Wow, you and Adam have such great taste in music. I think you did a great job”. Adam “There were some pitch issues, but who cares. I am a huge fan of yours, people want to dress like you and sing like you and that is really cool”.

Second Song: Adam picks “The Show” by Lenka for Melanie to sing.
Judges’ comments: Blake: “That was definitely different for you. You sang it good. I am left questioning though and wondering about your connection with the song”. Christina: “The stage was cute and I hope you had fun with that, but I want to hear that sultriness from you”. Cee Lo: “I enjoy you. That was one of the most colorful and eventful stage sets on The Voice, I am a fan of yours”. Adam: “I love coming up with ideas with you. It was carefree and you let it all go”.

Christina’s comments were a subtle insult which was actually quite accurate. She was under pitch and the song was like elevator music, which isn’t too appealing to me when I know the original is so intense. She didn’t stand a chance of staying on the show though and even she admitted she was surprised to be there still. I think Cassadee has a much greater chance at winning now since her popularity on iTunes is so high. My DISH coworker agrees and we’ve been watching the iTunes charts to see who is selling the most recordings. The results shows aren’t as interesting since there is a lot of filler so I use my DISH Auto Hop commercial skipping feature on my Hopper so I don’t have to watch as long, and I can watch another show afterwards. That is nice since I have the X Factor to fit in each week too.
