Tonight’s episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (December 17, 2012) is titled “Oy Faye”. Here is a full recap of episode 7 of RHOBH:
Kim tells the cameras that she feels bad about the catfight between Adrienne and
Brandi happened at Maruicio’s party, but insists that she “told Adrienne what she
needed to know because it was important.” Kim blames the situation on her sister
Kyle, since she is the one who asked Brandi why she and Adrienne are fighting and
that is when Brandi dropped the bombshell that Bravo bleeped about Adrienne’s
family.
Kyle and her husband Mauricio are discussing her plans to have a dinner party at
their home when she tells him that Brandi is one of the guests, he makes it clear
how he feels about her: “what Brandi has done and said about Paul and Adrienne
is disgusting and she lies, she is a gossip girl, she says whatever comes to her mind
and doesn’t think of anything and then she says ‘I’m sorry and I feel bad’ and then
everything is ok and that is not cool. “ In the end, Mauricio relents and won’t un-
invite Brandi, stating that he and Kyle have more class than that.
Meanwhile, Brandi visits with Lisa and they also discuss the blowout with Paul and
Adrienne. Brandi tells her “they have mistreated me, people don’t know what
they’ve done to me. They put stories out about me.” However, Brandi does
eventually admit that she is sorry for what she said.
The night of Kyle’s dinner party arrives, true to form; the housewives serve up
drama for dinner. Yolanda could not make it to the party due to being out of town
for Donna Summer’s funeral. Kim could not attend because she was in Las Vegas for her
son’s 21st birthday party; Kyle is offended that she was not invited to her nephew’s
birthday celebration. All of the other women arrive and new housewife Marissa
Zanuck is introduced. Marissa is a real estate agent at Kyle’s family’s real estate
company; she is also Hollywood royalty. Marissa is married to Dean Zanuck, who
is the son of producer Richard Zanuck and grandson of Darryl F. Zanuck — one of
the co-founders of 20th Century Fox. Marissa may be a new housewife, but she is no
stranger to reality television, she previously appeared on Bravo’s “Selling LA.”
Also at the party is Kyle and Adrienne’s friend Faye Resnick, or as Camille referred
to her during their explosive argument during season one’s ‘dinner party from hell’
“the morally bankrupt Faye Resnick.” Currently, an interior designer in Beverly Hills,
Faye is infamous for her role in the O.J. Simpson murder trial. After the verdict,
she wrote several books about the trial and posed for Playboy magazine. Faye is a
longtime friend of both Kyle and Adrienne, so she is the first to pounce on Brandi.
When the ladies sit down for dinner they don’t waste any time devouring the main
course- Brandi. “Send her flowers” Faye commands. Brandi tells her “I’m not
sending her anything” to which Faye responds, “then you’re not really sorry.” Brandi
tells the women “we have other issues and it is just too soon.” Faye won’t back
down, “the only way I will believe Brandi is sorry is if she stops attacking people.”
Brandi tells the women “I don’t need to answer to Faye, or anyone else about why
I have issues with someone, it’s not your business.” Marissa steps up and says she
agrees with Brandi, but Faye promptly shuts her down. Strangely, Brandi’s BFF Lisa
remains quiet and sips her drink during the argument. Faye presses on, “What I’ve
seen from you is cruel behavior. You attack people you need a lot of
attention. You say things that are hurtful. You’ve been hurt so you viciously attack
people. You just throw things out there at random; you get backed into a corner
and just spew things.” Eventually, tired of defending herself and her actions, Brandi
excuses herself and leaves the party.
Next week- Brandi confronts one of her ex-husband’s mistresses (not LeAnn Rimes) but
rather a girl named Scheana Marie. In addition to her work as a mistress, Scheana just
happens to be a server at Lisa’s restaurant Sur. Could this be a ploy to draw viewers to
Lisa’s spin-off show “Vanderpump Rules,” premiering on January 7? Well-played Bravo,
well-played.
