This is how Tate Stevens did in the semi-finals:

First song: Bonfire by Craig Morgan
Judges’ comments: Britney Spears does not think this was Tate’s best performance and that the performances should be better at this point of the competition. Demi Lovato disagrees and says it was freaking amazing. Simon Cowell says Tate was being authentic sang the type of song that he wants to record and it was important to do that. Simon thinks Tate can will it all and this was one of his favorite performances. LA Reid thought this was the most fun he’s had on the show so far.

Second song: Fall by Clay Water
Judges’ comments:Britney said Tate has had his share of hits and misses on the show, and that performance was a direct hit. Demi said Tate is a good guy and did an amazing job. Simon predicted Tate will never have to go back to his old job. He also said Tate is as likely to get voted off as Simon is likely to fly to the moon, meaning Tate will definitely get into the final. LA praised his consistent performances and said he did great as usual.
