Sad news out of Hollywood today: Ashley Judd confirmed today in an official statement to PEOPLE that she and her husband of 12 years, Dario Franchitti, are getting a divorce.

“We have mutually decided to end our marriage. We’ll always be family and continue to cherish our relationship based on the special love, integrity, and respect we have always enjoyed.”

Judd and Franchitti got married in his native Scotland in December 2001 after a two-year engagement. The couple has no children.
