Tonight January 21, 2013, The Bachelor airs a new episode for its third week. Sean Lowe has 16 contestants left to take out on dates. Who does Sean eliminate? Who gets a rose? Three women will go home tonight! Who goes home? Who gets the one-on-one dates? Well, let’s start with Lesley M. who gets the first date of the night. And it’s a good one.
ONE ON ONE DATE WITH LESLEY
The date will go down in the Guinness World Records for longest on-screen kiss. No pressure Lesley!! All Sean and Lesley have to do is kiss for longer than three minutes and 15 seconds to break the record. Do you think they can do it?? All we know is that Leslie M gets a rose 🙂
Update: During their date which was at the Guinness World of Records Museum in Hollywood, CA, we find out that Sean’s dad is a record holder for driving the length of the 48 continuous states in the shortest amount of time: 97 hours and 7 minutes.
And Sean wants to break his own record: The 10-year-long record for the longest on-screen kiss. Sean and Lesley have to do this on the streets of Hollywood in front of a full crowd. Their lips must touch the entire time. HOW AWKWARD!! On a first date? In front of a cheering crowd? Lesley says, “this is hard.” Later adds, ‘This is an intimate, special moment”, which should not be shared on the busiest boulevard.
Sean said afterwards that the hardest part was not to laugh because their lips would come apart. But, they overcome the difficulty and awkwardness, and they set the new record for the longest on-screen kiss at much longer than 3:15.
After kissing, they have a romantic dinner on top of what looked like the Roosevelt Hotel across the street. They talk about their past and things that are important in life. Sean says she’s the kind of person he feels like he’s known forever. Gee, could it be that they have kissed longer than most couples have. And they do more kissing–not sure how their lips are not sore from earlier. Regardless, Sean says he’s blown away with Lesley and he has feelings for her. So, he gave her a date rose.

GROUP DATE
For the group date, Sean takes the girls to the beach – but it’s not all for fun. The girls have to divide up in teams and compete in a game of beach volleyball. The ladies of The winning team get extra time with Sean. Here is some spoilers as to who wins: Jackie, Kacie, Desiree, Robyn, Lindsay, and Amanda. The losing team who goes back to the mansion to sulk includes: Leslie, Kristy, Catherine, Taryn, Daniella, and Tierra. And sulk they do. They start crying on the beach, in the car ride home and back at the mansion.
Update: The girls who won got extra time with Sean. During the date, Kacie B. watches tension build between Desiree and Amanda and wonders if she should tell Sean. She decides to be “selfish” and use this info to her advantage. She takes Sean aside and says she feels like she’s been punched in the face. She feels caught between a rock and a hard place and stuck between the two girls. She says Desiree has confided in her and she can’t be herself. Sean asks her why she’s telling him this stuff for which she is speechless. She then says she can’t be herself with all that going on around her. Sean seems confused and unhappy. “I want you to act like Kacie and not this crazy person I am seeing,” Sean says.
Lindsay gets the group date rose.
TIERRA FALLS DOWN THE STAIRS
AshLee gets the other one-on-one date to Six Flags Magic Mountain but her date is cut short with some drama when Tierra falls down the stairs ad AshLee is waiting for Sean to pick her up. See the video below of Sean coming to Tierra’s rescue.

But there may be more to Tierra’s fall that meets the eye. When Tierra refuses medical help, the other women become suspicious.  Did she do it to get Sean’s attention?
UPDATE: Sean walks in minutes after the fall and wonders if Tierra suffered a concussion. He says he’s had several concussions in the past himself. The medics arrive and she keeps saying she is fine and does not want “to do this” as she gets strapped in a gurney. “It’s not necessary” to go to the hospital Tierra pleads. She refuses treatment and stands up. The women think she cried wolf to grab attention. Sean spends lots of quality cuddle time with Tierra at the mansion while AshLey is waiting to leave with Sean on her date.
ONE ON ONE DATE WITH ASHLEY
Finally, AshLee’s date at Six Flags Magic Mountain gets underway. The couple has the entire park to themselves and are joined by two young women who suffer from a chronic illness (Emily and Brianna from the Starlight Foundation’s Starbright World program). Sean realizes how caring AshLee is and is happy because he’s looking for someone with a giving heart.
The couple then gets a private concert by Sean’s favorite country group, Eli Young Band.
Update: AshLee and Sean get some alone time at the end of their date. She confides in Sean that would love to adopt an older child and he says he would too. She says she was adopted at six and before that, she was abused by a foster family.
AshLee gets a date rose.
COCKTAIL PARTY
At the cocktail ceremony, Sean wanted to reassure her that he thinks of her when he’s not with her; And because she did not get a date, he had her dog Leo come visit her. HOW SWEET IS THAT!! NICELY PLAYED SEAN, nicely played.
Kacie B. apologizes to Sean for what she pulled on the group date. Sean says he felt like they turned a corner at the photo shoot but took two steps back on the group date. Their conversation got interrupted. Kacie feels anxious and has no idea what Sean is thinking or feeling and says she’s freaking out.

WHO GOT ELIMINATED AND SENT HOME:
-In a shocking way, Sean picked up the first rose but before he gave any out, he asked if he could speak with Kacie. The two walk out of the room as the women wonder what is going on and why Sean took a rose with him. Sean told Kacie he has too much respect for Kacie to make her stand through another rose ceremony if he thought of her more as a friend. So, he let Kacie go. And so, just like that, Kacie got another tearful car ride home.
