Country singer Mindy McCready‘s boyfriend and father of her 9-month-old child David Wilson has died. 

Wilson’s body was found on Sunday at his Herber Springs, Arkansas home. The record producer had apparently shot himself to death.

The singer who has lost her “life partner” told People, “David was my soulmate. He was a precious gift from God to all of us and, yesterday, he returned home and is now with his mother and father.”

Wilson added, “David loved and was loved. Those who knew and loved him will miss him; those who did know know David missed the opportunity to know a truly loving and gifted man.”
