“American Idol” aired a two-hour episode tonight March 5, 2013 and the Top ten girls performed in front of a live audience for America’s votes! Who will stay and who will get eliminated? It’s all up to America finally!

Zoanette Johnson

SONG: “What’s Love Got to Do With It” by Tina Turner
JUDGES’ COMMENTS:  Keith Urban said it was an interesting song choice. He loves the way she performs but he just was not sure that the song worked for her. But he said if the show was giving away an award for the “most joyous, free-spirited, unbridled girl” she would win hands down. Nicki Minaj was more certain: “That wasn’t it”. Randy Jackson agreed even more bluntly: “Honestly, that was a mess, babe.” Mariah Carey who is the new Paula Abdul tried to make it nice by saying Zoanette is a special person and she thinks about the struggle she’s gone through. But even Mariah admitted this was not her fave number.

Breanna Steer

SONG: “Flaws and All” by Beyonce
JUDGES’ COMMENTS: Keith loved the song choice and complimented Breanna on her control and beautiful voice. Nicki on the other hand said this was the wrong song for her and “that was not it at all” She felt that Breanna was straining her voice. Randy was somewhere in the middle and called the song choice cool, but safe. He liked the tenderness in the song but did not find big moments that he wanted. Mariah said it was a unique song choice because it’s lyrically very raw, simplistic and real. She added, “the package of [Breanna] is star quality.”

Aubrey Cleland

SONG: “Big Girls Don’t Cry” by Fergie
JUDGES’ COMMENTS:  Keith thought Aubrey’s personality came through the song. He liked the vibrato but felt she was restricted by the melody because it did not let her soar high enough. Nicki loves Aubrey’s humility; it’s sweet and endearing. She also loves her vibrato and falsetto. Randy gushed too. Mariah said Aubrey has multi-platinum potential.

Janelle Arthur

SONG: “If I Can Dream” by Elvis
JUDGES’ COMMENTS: Keith said he loves Janelle’s “really classic country voice” that she “blends together with some modern runs.” Nicki said “she is back!” and called this the best vocal of the night…so far. Randy said “we like you” and liked the “old throwback thing” in her voice. Mariah said she did a great job and thinks she will do well with America voting.

Tenna Torres

SONG: “Lost” by Faith Hill
JUDGES’ COMMENTS:  Keithsaid Tenna has great control and a beautiful voice, but did advise her to not allow the camera to distract her and throw her off of her game. Nicki liked Tenna’s outfit, hair and boobs. She said she believes the words she sings, but her personality doesn’t jump out. Randy loves that Tenna made the song her own. He complimented her on using just enough restraint to keep things from seeming over sung. Mariah also agreed that Tenna looks gorgeous. She praised her song choice and was happy to hear the lower notes. She hopes America will love her too.

Angie Miller

SONG: “Never Gone” by Colton Dixon
JUDGES’ COMMENTS: Keith calls it a beautiful performance–he thinks she’s at her best when she plays the piano. Nicki: “The trumpets should sound when you walk in the room.” She said it’s safe to assume Angie is making it to the next round but asks the producers to let Angie off the show so that she can just produce an album so Nicki can go buy it. Randy agrees! “Angie is “going places….she’s mad talented…a star is born.” Mariah was “so happy” to see Angie back at the piano. The diva admitted she was just blown away by Angie’s performance.

Amber Holcomb

SONG: “I Believe You & Me” by Whitney Houston
JUDGES’ COMMENTS: Keith called it a perfect song for her and said her tone is exquisite. Nicki said that was a ten million billion katrillion! She said Amber’s vocals are surpassing this competition. Randy said she is in it to win it! Mariah was waiting to hear her sing all night since she is one of her fave contestants.

Kree Harrison

SONG: “Stronger” by Faith Hill
JUDGES’ COMMENTS:  Keith loves to hear Kree sing and thinks she fits in with all of the great country singers. Nicki loves Kree and says her sexiness level just went up another notch. Randy says Kree is also in it to win it and has “such a natural gift” and that she does fit in with the great country stars…though he says she could sing anything. Mariah loves Kree too and believes she has the type of voice and talent that she could go the traditional route of just walking into a record label and getting a deal today.

Adriana Latonio

SONG: “Stand Up For Love” by Destiny’s Child
JUDGES’ COMMENTS:Keith was not impressed by the song choice and worries for her. Nicki agrees saying the song was too big for her and that she did not connect with it. Then Nicki suggested Adriana rehearse a bit more and try again next year. DAANG! Say it like you mean it Nicki! Randy agrees with Nicki’s statement that it was “very pageant-y” and that it was a very “safe” song. Mariah tries to make things nice again and says she enjoyed Adriana’s last performance and hopes everyone saw her previous performances.

Candice Glover

SONG: “Ordinary People” by John Legens
JUDGES’ COMMENTS: Keith says Candice was superb tonight and he loves the “old soul thing” which Candice manages to “make current.” Nicki simply saluted Candice and said “that’s it, that’s my comment.” Randy: “It was ridiculous, because she sang notes that people don’t even understand how they could fit into a recording.”  He believes she’s one of the best singers in the competition and adds that there’s so many great singers performing tonight that they may need a wildcard from the producers. Mariah thanks Candice for sharing her talent with us. “The goosebumps continue,” she concluded.
