Brad Pitt already thought the world of Angelina Jolie. After all, he and the beautiful actress share six children together. But he now thinks his 37-year-old fiance is nothing but “absolutely heroic” for undergoing a preventive double mastectomy.

Angelina revealed today that she had the procedure done to reduce her risk factor for breast cancer which runs in her family.  Her proud and adoring fiance Brad said of the ordeal, “Having witnessed this decision firsthand, I find Angie’s choice, as well as so many others like her, absolutely heroic.” Pitt added, “I thank our medical team for their care and focus.

“All I want…is for her to have a long and healthy life, with myself and our children. This is a happy day for our family.”

In her reveal about the decision to have the surgery, Jolie also expressed her need to lean on Brad during the difficult decision-making process and surgery, describing him as  “loving and supportive,” and being there for her “for every minute of the surgeries.”
