“The Voice” Season 4 airs the first of its Live Playoffs tonight May 6, 2013. We are down to our final 16 artists who will perform live in front of celebrity coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira, and Usher for America’s vote.
Here are the 16 contestants still remaining on The Voice: Team Usher: Vedo, Josiah Hawley, Michelle Chamuel, and Cáthia. Team Shakira: Kris Thomas, Garrett Gardner, Karina Iglesias and Sasha Allen. Team Adam: Judith Hill, Amber Carrington, Caroline Glaser, and Sarah Simmons. Team Blake: Holly Tucker, Justin Rivers, Danielle Bradbery and The Swon Brothers.

TEAM USHER
Team Usher starts the night by practicing in a boxing ring. They will be singing “Black and Gold.”
Josiah Hawley sings Muse’ “Starlight”.
Shakira says Josiah rocked it and calls this his best performance to date. Adam compliments Usher for coaching Josiah through a tough song and thinks Josiah has made leaps and bounds. Blake says it was a haunting performance. Usher says Josiah is an entertainer and a rock star.

–Cathia sings “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston.
Shakira who was Cathia’s original coach before Usher stole her said Cathia was stepping on holy ground. Blake found her performance really good. Usher thinks this was a make it or break it moment and he does not think it was an incredible performance.

Shakira said the audience loved Vedo. Adam said the only think he doesn’t like about Vedo is that he is not on his team. Usher said he is 100 percent impressed with Vedo’s performance.

Adam says Michelle just had a break out performance. Blake says Adam stole the words out of his mouth. Usher agrees and says Michelle made a connection with the world that they will never forget.

–Amber Carrington sings “Stay”by Rihanna.
Blake says it will suck to follow Amber because she set the bar very high. Usher found the experience very intimate. Shakira says Amber has something special to offer in this competition. Adam said she could not have done a better job and is a surprise in this competition.

-Sarah Simmons: Song: “Angel” by Sarah MacLachlan
Blake said it was beautiful and amazing. He wants his team to watch and do as Sarah did. Usher said it was a very complicated song and it took a while for Sarah’s voice to truly come out but in the end, it was amazing; Shakira said it was spectacular. Adam said the studio has never been so quiet because the audience was so enamored by her. Adam added that Sarah is one of the most incredible singers he’s heard in his life.

Blake loved it. Usher found it soothing and said she had a lot of control. Adam thinks Caroline is a power house vocalist with a unique sound.
