“The Bachelorette” airs a new episode tonight June 24, 2013 starring Desiree Hartsock. Come back to CelebMagnet starting at 8 PM for a live blog of tonight’s episode. Or if you can’t wait, look below for spoilers to find out who gets a rose tonight and who goes home.
On tonight’s episode, Desiree and her remaining 11 men head to Munich Germany. She will tour the city with Chris Siegfried on a one-on-one date which includes a private concert by Matt White. One man will eliminate himself on tonight’s episode because he says he ‘wasn’t feeling it.’ But truth be told, he may actually have a girlfriend back home who knew what he was doing!
We will have the season’s first two on one date with Michael Garofola and Ben Scott. Who will be sent home on this dreaded date? Could this be the date that ABC calls The Worst Date Ever? Sounds like it. Desiree herself calls it “the most awkward date of my life.” She adds, “I’ve watched two-on-one dates on TV, but having to live one was painful….I feel so uncomfortable being in the middle of Ben and Michael…I may want to let both of them go.”

LIVE SHOW RECAP
Hi everyone! We are live recapping tonight’s episode. Please refresh this page often for latest updates!
Desiree’s men arrive Munich and are immediately impressed by everything they see. Ben Scott says the hotel they’re staying at is “one of the nicest in Germany.”
ONE ON ONE DATE WITH CHRIS SIGFRIED
Chris gets the only one on one date of the week which is a tour of the city. Desiree finds Chris to be goofy and funny. They two put on traditional German garb and are having a blast as Bryden starts to walk everywhere looking for Desiree. This guy is weird. Before starting his endless roam, he told the boys back at the hotel that he’s leaving the show.
He finally finds Des on her date dancing in middle of a square. I guess it’s hard not to find a whole filming crew. Bryden takes Des away to talk and Chris thinks this date interuption blows.
Bryden tells Des he’s been struggling with a lot of things. Although he thinks the world of her, he wants to go home. “I’m looking for someone I can know 100% and I’m not quite there yet.” Dummy, you could have at least enjoyed one day in Germany. Des is upset for a minute but Chris is there to show her support.
Once they get over the whole Bryden deal, Desiree and Chris change and attend a romantic dinner. Chris shares a poem he penned for Desiree. So, of course for his efforts he gets a date rose. The two then enjoy a private concert by Matt White.
GROUP DATE
The group card date reads, “Will You Climb The Highest Mountain With Me.” Brooks, Drew, Juan Pablo, Kasey, Zak, James, and Mike will all take part in this event. These 7 men get into their ski gear and meet Des at the highest peak in German.
The boys have to sled down this peak and of course there are lots of flips, crashes and falls. It looks totally fun though.
Desiree and the guys then check out an ice hotel! I’ve always wanted to visit one of these places. They have beer and pretzels. Brooks takes Des away for some private makeout time. Then it’s Mike’s turn. The two build a snowman but they get interrupted by Zak’s yodeling. But before Zak’s interruption, Mike is just bad at conversation and answering Des’ questions about the future. I smell trouble for poor little Mikey.
Zak confides to Des that he once wanted to be a priest but when he looked deep into his soul on a similar mountain in Europe, he came to the conclusion that priesthood was not his thing.
Desiree is seen next making out with James. Brooks catches them and is not too happy. Until he gets the group date rose. Guess Brooks won the night’s kissing contest. I wonder, does Des brush her teeth between all the kissing? Kind of gross to kiss so many people in a matter of a few hours, if that.
TWO ON ONE DATE
Ben Scott and Mike Garofola get the 2-on-1 date card. Mike vows to “convict” Ben of being a fraud. He actually says he’s going to “Murder Ben” since this is a game of gladiator style dating. Am I the only one that does not understand why all the men hate Ben? Fill me in below in the comments section on why you think they all hate Ben.
During the date, Desiree teases the two men that they are heading to a polar bear plunge in the lake. What they actually do is take a hottug boat ride on the lake which is a hot tub with a motor. Michael is doing his lawyerly best to annoy Ben, leaving Des in middle of a very awkward threesome.
During dinner, Michael asks Ben why no one in the house likes him. Ben gives the usual answer given by all the divas of the Bachelorette past: He is here to get to know Desiree not make friends with the boys. Des tries to change the subject but Michael starts trashing Ben by insinuating that Ben does not go to church as he says he does and is a bad father. It was all uncalled for. Ben leaves to get fresh air. Des is upset but Michael says he wanted Des to see the real Ben.
Desiree feels bad for Ben and spends some time with him. She thinks Ben is genuine and just does not know how to related to the men. She then spends time with Michael who tells her that the guys dislike Ben because he speaks to them in a condescending manner. He talks a lot about his bar business and how a former bachelor’s bar business blossomed after being on the show (Brad Womack, anyone!) Michael says he barely talks about his son. Des has heard enough. She sends Ben home. Michael gets the rose. Ben is pissed. So am I! If she was not going to keep Ben, she should have gotten rid of Michael too for being a bully!
In the car ride to Bachelorette infamy, Ben says Des made the wrong decision and thinks this will be his worse date in history. He can’t believe Des would keep a guy who trash talks someone else over him. When someone goes to the hotel to pick up Ben’s suitcase, the guys get all happy!
ROSE CEREMONY
Chris Harrison tries to get some scoop on the men but Des says she doesn’t kiss and tell. Chris presses on and asks which one guy she wants to kiss. Brooks, of course, says Des. Des also says she does not want a cocktail parrty because she knows what she’s gonna do. This pisses off Drew because he wanted Des to find out James is there for other reasons. He had heard James say that if he makes the final four guys, he will have a good shot at being the Bachelor. Meanwhile, James tells the camera that he is falling in love with Des.
