Channing Tatum appeared on Good Morning America today to promote his brand new film White House Down.
The 33-year-old new papa could not help but also talk about his new role as first-time dad.
“The mom does so much of the early work, those first few weeks and I’m just like, ‘Put me in the game. Put me in the game,’” Channing said. “I’ve gotten so good at like changing diapers, swaddling and then get it back before she cries… I’ve never been so excited when something poos. I just get so amped up because I’m in the game now.”
The reigning “Sexiest Man Alive” added, “We actually found out at the end of this movie that [my wife Jenna Dewan] was pregnant. So it was kind of odd that I did my first movie that I have a daughter in and we were having a daughter.” Tatum had previously given more details on the baby making by saying, “Jenna and I weren’t pregnant then, but we conceived on that movie, so it’s kinda crazy that I had a daughter on the movie…and now we just had our own little, cutest, most amazing thing ever.”
As for Jenna, Tatum said, “She’s good, she’s really good. Tired, you know…just taking care of the baby on those first months. First months are hard.”
