Harry Styles of One Direction has gone solo! At least on one single, ‘Don’t Let Me Go’, which was leaked online! Is this the end of the road for One Direction as a band?

The 19-year-old One Direction singer penned the lyrics to ‘Don’t Let Me Go’ himself, in collaboration with British musician Sam McCarthy. “Wow! Thanks for all the nice tweets about the song,” Sam Tweeted after the song leaked online. “Harry did most of the words I did the music.”

So is this solo song the sign that One Direction is breaking up and Harry is pulling a Justin Timberlake? We don’t know. We don’t even know when this song was written. It could be old for all we know (though I doubt it) so we can’t yet jump to any conclusions.

Harry’s band mate Liam Payne recently said that he hopes 1D is in it for the long haul.

“I don’t want us to lose the fun we have on stage…I don’t want us to fall out or have a situation where the band doesn’t want to be together anymore.”
