Entertainment Tonight has confirmed that Michael Jackson’s 15-year-old daughter Paris Jackson has tried to commit suicide and is currently in a Los Angeles hospital. Paris’ biological mother, Debbie Rowe, confirmed the attempt to the news site.

ET also reports that a family friend says Paris attempted suicide because she was not permitted to attend the June 6 Marilyn Manson concert. LA County Fire received a 911 call related to the incident for an overdose at 1:15 a.m.

TMZ reports that the 911 caller reported a possible overdose but a source tells them that there were multiple cuts on one of Paris’ wrists when she arrived in the emergency room. TMZ also reports that Paris is doing fine now.

On Wednesday, Paris Tweeted “yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away … now it looks as though they’re here to stay.” She also wrote: “I wonder why tears are salty?”

“We appreciate everyone’s thoughts for Paris at this time and their respect for the family’s privacy,” Debbie Rowe’s lawyer, Eric George, told TMZ.

UPDATE: TMZ reports that Paris left a suicide note and then cut her arm with a meat cleaver. She had reached out to a suicide hotline and the person receiving the call reported the situation to 911. TMZ also reports that Paris took a large number of Motrin pills.
