Adam Lambert got himself a pretty sweet new gig and is heading back to where it all started: Fox TV! No, he won’t be a judge on American Idol; but the superstar is joining the cast of Glee this fall!

Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy announced the news Wednesday on Twitter: “I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of Glee this fall.”

We have no details as to what character Lambert will play or whether he will be a series regular or will be a recurring or guest star.

Earlier this summer we learned of some other cast changes to next season’s Glee. Heather Morris, Mark Salling, Amber Riley, and Harry Shum, Jr. are out as series regulars. Melissa Benoist, Blake Jenner, Jacob Artist, Becca Tobin, and Alex Newell are in.
