Ryan Reynolds does a rare thing in the August 2013 issue of Details magazine: He opens up on his relationship with wife Blake Lively. I mean, that’s a pretty big deal coming from a guy who even made his marriage to the actress a secret until it was all well and done.
Ryan says he is not elusive about his personal life on purpose but explains that “words are too clumsy to accurately describe how I feel in that regard, particularly in an interview.”
But that did not stop the R.I.P.D. actor from admitting that he wants to have a “big family” with Blake one day.
The 36-year-old Reynolds said, “[Blake and I] love to have a big family. We both come from big families—my parents did four, Blake’s did five. A lot of people say it’s crazy, but we’ll only know when we’re there, you know? We’ll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think.”
There is one thing that scares Blake about fatherhood and that is having only boys! “I’m terrified that I’m genetically predisposed to only having boys. That’s frightening. By the time I was 10 years old, and I’m not exaggerating, I knew how to patch drywall. There’s nothing my brothers and I didn’t put a hole in. We turned our home into a Wiffle house. That’s something I’m not looking forward to.”
