This whole “twerking” thing has gotten way out of hand. SO much so, that 68-year-old Helen Mirren was spotted twerking, in public. On purpose.

Yes, we are talking about the same Oscar-winning Dame Helen Mirren.

Mirren’s lil dance which was made infamous by Miley Cyrus took place while Mirren was being honored with Harvard’s Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year award. The Hasty Pudding group is the oldest undergraduate drama troupe in the U.S. and the group salutes and mocks talented performers every year. This year, it was Helen’s turn.

During the honors ceremony, the Hasty Pudding fellows asked Mirren some interesting questions, including who she thought would win in a fight between herself and Meryl Streep.

“Meryl would win, definitely,” Mirren said, adding, “She’s bigger, stronger and mentally stronger than I am.”

Also during the ceremony, Mirren was asked to twerk. And she obliged. But surprisingly so, she admitted that she’s had some practice in the past. “I’ve tried in my bedroom in private in front of the mirror, very unsuccessfully,” she revealed. “Absolutely humiliating to have to do it in public in front of a whole load of people.”
