SPOTTED: Asian-American actress Jenna Ushkowitz at the Beverly Center. The “Glee” star was all smiles, ushering in the Year of the Horse by placing her wishes on an enchanting Wishing Tree to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

The event took place in Beverly Center’s Center Court, which has been transformed into a stunning interpretation of a traditional Wishing Tree. Guests are invited throughout the month to write their wishes for joy, luck and prosperity and place them on this stunning tree. In the Chinese culture, placing wishes on the wishing tree will make their wishes come true.

Ushkowitz joined the celebration today, on the notable fifth day of the Lunar New Year – which celebrates the birthday of the God of Wealth – by placing her wishes on the tree to ring in the Year of the Horse.

Horse-themed decorations and symbols of good fortune for the New Year were also on display to signify loyalty, ambition and intelligence and the tree is also adorned with cultural elements including coins, lanterns and red envelopes.
