Mark Wahlberg is being sued by Marc Schiller who was portrayed in the 2013 flick ‘Pain & Gain’ by Monk star Tony Shaloub. Marc, the real-life victim of a 1994 violent kidnapping, says the film portrays him as “deplorable, unlikable, sleazy, rude, abrasive, womanizing braggart” who drinks, does drugs and fires people at will, instead of the “family man” that he is.
“This movie has ruined my life,” Schiller, 56, told the Daily News. “I don’t go out much anymore. I’ve become a hermit. You get strange looks and you think people recognize you from the movie.”
Also named as a defendant in the lawsuit is ‘Pain & Gain’ director Michael Bay.
Wahlberg plays Lugo, the leader of the kidnapping gang. He is named as a defendant because he has used the film to sell workout supplements.
