Ian Somerhalder was spotted at Universal Studios Hollywood earlier this week doing an interview with Extra TV all the while showing off his incredible smile to the hundreds of fans lined up to watch their fave star. 

Sadly, The Vampire Diaries hottie also recently spoke with E! News and discussed the upcoming demise of his beloved character, Damon Salvatore. “When Damon dies, it is the dopest scene,” the 35-year-old actor said jokingly. “The ending, I think, is really gonna throw people. It definitely involves Damon in a very cool way. There is some very very cool stuff with Damon, Elena, Bonnie…stuff you just didn’t see…It is definitely a cliffhanger.”

Although this is not good news for Vampire Diaries fans, at least some can breathe a deep sigh of relief to hear Ian is still a single man, up for grabs by the non-Hollywood type. “There is no dating. I am solo as solo can get. I can’t imagine dating in Hollywood. I’m a serial monogamist, man,” Ian said. “Dating in Hollywood’s gotta be gnarly.”
