‘House of Cards’ actress Robin Wright looked effortlessly chic at this year’s Golden Globes wearing a Ralph Lauren 2 piece, shoes by Rene Caovilla, clutch by Judith Leiber, and of course Harry Winston diamonds.
As for Robin’s hair, celebrity stylist Paul Norton of Joico spilled all his secrets below. Paul says “we began our Glam for the day with a brief Beauty Pow Wow. I started Robin’s hair by having her wash with K-PAK Color Therapy Shampoo and conditioner which is great for blondes. We started with a fresh cut, severely shorting up the sides and back to give the style a much more edgy punk rock feel which was my inspiration . When I got to the top section I point cut the hair keep the hair very jagged and piecey going shorter to longer as I worked my way to the front , leaving the front piece much longer for a more dramatic effect.”
Step 1:
Once the hair cut was complete I applied Joico *Heat Set* to her damp hair and blow dried it all forward using a baby Mason Pearson until it was fully dry.
Step 2:
My next step was the most fun part for me when I got to apply what I like to consider the future of Joico*Hair Shake* ! An amazing texturizer that honestly feels like it was designed with Robin in mind! A liquid turned powder once sprayed on the hair it allowed me to create the exact Punk Rock texture I was hoping for. I first sprayed about 7 pumps worth over the top of her head and began piecing out the hair in and strategic yet effortless fashion. We decided the fringe should remain down and sort of to a sweeping point in the front to keep it sexy, alluring and edgy so I used just a little bit of Joico *Texture Boost* just on the edges of the hair.
Step 3:
Once all the hairs were in place we sealed the deal with Joico *Humidity Blocker Hair spray* given that the weather outside gave us every reason to think it might rain and there really is no other defense against the elements!
