Mariah Carey finally received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday, August 5, 2015. The singer who has had 18 number one hits and sold more than 200 million records, joined 2,555 other entertainers who’ve had their names immortalized on the famed sidewalk. But it wasn’t this five-time Grammy winner who was the center of attention for most of the ceremony. And although such Hollywood heavyweights as as L.A. Reid, Brett Ratner and Lee Daniels (who directed Mariah in Precious) were among the honored guests, it was Mariah’s twins, Moroccan and Monroe, who stole the show!

Mariah’s four-year-old twins did all that they could to take attention away from their famous mom. “Mommy, mommy,” Moroccan kept yelling as he tugged on his mommy’s dress while Mariah was trying to give her speech to the 2000 fans who came out to see her. When Mariah picked up Moroccan, Monroe felt she also needed some attention and Mariah picked her up next.

Somehow Mariah was able to address her fans while juggling the twins. “Really, you’re melting my heart…You’re making me cry, and that’s why I’m keeping on my sunglasses. But I cannot thank you enough. This is a huge honor.”
