SPOTTED: Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas in Las Vegas where Nick’s long-awaited Drai’s LIVE debut concert rocked the sprawling indoor/outdoor rooftop club on Saturday, August 1. Partiers who took a bet on spending their weekend at Drai’s Beachclub Nightclub won big by getting to hang out with Nick at the 65,000 square foot rooftop hotspot located atop The Cromwell. Nick played an hour-long concert at Drai’s Nightclub followed with a daytime pool party on August 2 which featured a second surprise show by the chart-topping recording artist at Drai’s Beachclub.
Nick arrived to Drai’s looking stylish as always with black jeans, a sleek red t-shirt with pocket detailing and an edgy black leather jacket. The star was accompanied by his brother Joe Jonas and a group of their friends who all came early to start the party from their VIP tables next to the DJ booth.
Nick took to the stage with resounding cheers from the audience, all while overlooking one of the most famous intersections in the world. He began his set with smash hit “Chains” and immediately got the crowd dancing; but that was just the beginning. For the next hour, Nick flexed his vocal skills, sexy dance moves, witty humor and mainstream appeal during his Drai’s LIVE concert. He had fans singing along to numerous original songs from his debut eponymous album while keeping the set list fresh with a few covers as well including OMI’s “Cheerleader” and Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money,” the latter of which Nick sang while walking throughout the club hugging fans and taking photos. During a couple moments throughout the concert, Nick even snagged cell phones from nearby fans to take quick selfies from the stage.
Every song was masterfully mixed into the next, creating a constant stream of beats and rhythms that rival any electronic DJ playing on the Strip while bringing a live music element to Las Vegas’ nightclub audience that no other venue in town has the ability to match, thanks to the expansive Drai’s LIVE stage an incomparable audio/visual setup. The only break came when Nick took time to speak with the audience before jumping back into the setlist and ending his concert with breakout solo track “Jealous.”
