HOW TO GET: Laverne Cox’s Emmy Red Carpet Beauty Look

Celebrity makeup artist, Deja Davenport, claims that the AJ Crimson Artist Kit was fundamental in achieving Laverne Cox’s golden glam Emmy’s look.

Step 1: I prepped Deja’s skin with the VI Derm Vitamin C Gel to prep the skin before I began blending the Crème Foundations form the Cool and Warm Palettes into her skin with a soft buffer brush. I always use three foundation colors to create a makeup look, this time I used 4.

Step 2:  I finished her highlight with a touch of Banana Crème blended in with a damp beauty blender.

Step 3:  To finish, I set the entire face with AJ Crimson Universal Setting Powder in Bamboo.

Step 4: For Laverne’s eye makeup I first applied Gold Liquid Metal Eyeshadow on her lid blending it out to the brow bone with a medium eyeshadow brush.

Step 5: I blended Sepia and Caramel toned shadows from the outer crease to the bridge of her nose.

Step 6: I used a small defining shadow brush to draw the Espresso colored eyeshadow from the lower lash line to the outer crease from the outer crease to the midpoint of the eye.

Step 7:  . Next I used a clean tapered blending brush to create the diffused cut crease.

Step 8: I finished the look with black waterproof eyeliner on the waterline and lid and tons of carbon black mascara.
